Adobe Framemaker 12 Crackers

Ok, so the situation is I have 5,000 press PDF files that need to be changed. They are all 4 page documents that unfortunately (before me) were created as single page spreads. So the last page (right side of sheet 1) needs to have info swapped out on all of them.I figure it would be nigh impossible to delete the same info on each one so our solution was to somehow put a white layer over it with the new info.

Is there some kind of batch script that can be used in either Acrobat, InDesign or something that can do this automatically? If not, that means I have to do them manually one by one and that is just not feasible.Anyone here have any experience with this sort of problem?Eva01. This is literally the job that PItStop and Callas PDF Toolbox was invented to fix. If you have that 'correction' file as a separate document, you can combine the two files as layers, then flatten/merge the layers, all in the same action/KFP. Pitstop could record your actions and then you could replay them as an action list.Callas would be easiest.

You might not even need to make a KFP, the Switchboard tools may be enough. But without having the actual documents here, it's hard to say the exact procedure. Yep lots of experienceyour page order description explanation sounds convoluted. But from what I gather it is the cover page. You didn't mention if it was colour or black and white?Anyhow with out knowing the edit require you should be able to do it with the built in tools of acrobat, indsign, and Photoshop, using a couple of methods.I hope you have acrobat pro. There is a batch process you can setup to do various functions. There is also the preflight tool which does more then preflight. It will actually help you fix things.Example 1.

In the past working with a black only document I have batch exported the page as a tiff file. Opened in photoshop dropped in edit, flatten, then exported as either a tiff or PDF (automated batch in PS). Then back to acrobat to replace (another batch process).

Just organize some folders for the exports and imports.Example 2. Use InDesign create a template with your edit in place and which will block the part you don't want (your white box). Data import merge the PDF files like a graphic into your template. Then export as a new PDF. The data merge will require you to create a text file of all the PDF file names.I suggest your break down your 5000 files into smaller groups of 500 or so.If these 2 examples don't work for you then you can download a demo of enfocus pitstop which will batch edit files within acrobat. The demo is fully functional for 30 days.Good luck!

This. Also for what it's worth, PDF is compressed PostScript file,Umm not worth anything. PDF is not a compressed Postscript file. You might get to a PDF file from a PS file but it is not a postscript file anymore once it has been converted to PDF.Going back to native file will present it's own set of headaches and quite possibly introduce other errors. At this point it would be best to work with the PDF since everything else on the pages is theoretically locked in place, with little chance of what needs to be edited, effecting it. This is literally the job that PItStop and Callas PDF Toolbox was invented to fix.

If so, PDFSAM might solve your problem.(Please note, the dev has appeared to start including a software offer on the install. Install unchecky or click no when it asks.). By any chance is that last page that needs replacingThe problem is that the layout is done as a single page spread - so instead of 4 8.5x11' pages the PDF is 1 17x22' page (for example). With PDF based print workflows, addons like PitStop or pdfToolbox are invaluable necessities, and should be able to make short work of the job w/ Acrobat Pro.Why is it a problem? If the page is 11x17 or 8.5 x 11.

The editing on the page still needs to happen. The only issue with the 11x17 would be if the spread was created in the wrong order and not usable for a printer imposition. Acrobat has a page split built in, no extra tools required. Further if they were to be using any modern print workflow, splitting the pages and populating the imposition in the correct order would be automaded. But so far the OP hasn't stated this is the reason for the edit.
